Who Oversees Student Gallery?
The Hampton Roads Student Gallery Steering Committee is composed of art supervisors from Hampton Roads school districts, retired art educators and supervisors, as well as members from the museum/gallery community. Meetings take place throughout the year, and encourages collaboration and communication amongst all school districts to ensure equity. Contest rules and logistics are regularly reviewed to ensure all components of the Hampton Roads Student Gallery have an education focus, and that visual arts students have an opportunity to display their work in a variety of locations.
